Policies: COVID-19

Please note that the following policies are based on current COVID-19 infectivity and hospitalization rates.
If infectivity and hospitalization rates rise, we may have to move our classes online.

We take the safety of our families and our teachers very seriously. Our safety measures currently consist of the following:

  • Teachers of in-person classes have been fully vaccinated and boosted, but all classes are mask-optional, and proof of COVID vaccination is no longer required.
  • Class sizes are capped to allow for social distancing, and because of the smaller class sizes, we cannot accommodate more than two adults per registered child.
  • Hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, and masks will be made available during each class.

Our policies may change as new information becomes available or state and federal regulations or recommendations change, but they currently consist of the following:

  • Before leaving for class, please read through these questions. If you answer "YES" to any of them, please let us know and do not attend class until you can answer "NO" to all of the questions.

    • Have you or anyone in your household tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 7 days or are awaiting COVID-19 test results?
    • Have you or anyone in your household had any of the following symptoms in the last few days: sore throat, cough, chills, body aches for unknown reasons, shortness of breath for unknown reasons, loss of smell, loss of taste, and/or a fever of or greater than 100ºF?
    • Do you have any reason to believe that you or anyone in your household has been exposed to or acquired COVID-19?
  • If you or your child tests positive for the coronavirus or is sick with another illness, you may not attend class in person until you have been cleared to do so.
  • Although we are taking every precaution to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, Starlight Starbright Music cannot accept liability if you or your child becomes infected.
  • If you contract COVID-19 and are unable to complete the semester’s classes, a credit for the missed classes may be issued. A doctor’s note will be required.
